For parents
When nobody at home can read the homework.
Your child is learning Kannada at school, and you can't check their work or help them practise. Akka can. She guides your child through their own textbook, one small step at a time, and shows you how they're doing.
What your child does with Akka
Letters first
Vowels, consonants and the signs that join them, learnt through quick games, always ending in real words.
Their textbook, chapter by chapter
The words, meanings and exercises from the book they use at school, explained first and then practised.
Writing, on screen then on paper
They write each answer on the device, Akka checks it letter by letter, and then they copy it into their notebook.
A short test each week
On what they practised that week, with written answers like a school test, so test day feels familiar.

Questions parents ask
Do I need to know any Kannada?
No. Akka talks to your child in Kannada and English, and your view is in English.
Which textbooks?
Akka is built on the Karnataka state Kannada textbooks for Grades 3–6, which many CBSE and ICSE schools in Bengaluru use. Tell us which book your child has. We're adding more boards and books as we go.
Does it replace my child's Kannada class?
No. It's practice at home for what they learn at school, from the same textbook.
What does it cost?
We're starting with a small group of founding families. Get in touch and we'll explain how it works.
